Giant Lobster on Volkswagon

Immediately after making the previous post I received the following email…

From Nathan at Restaurant Revolution (an excellent Blog for Restaurant Owners)

At the Florida Restaurant Show in Orlando this past summer there was a GIGANTIC lobster on top of a VW Beetle. The lobster was made out of a light, but durable, resin and was at least 15 feet tall. The legs surrounded the entire car.The seafood restaurant would drive the VW around town frequently to grab people’s attention. (Their restaurant name was on the side of the lobster.)

I thought it was an amazing spectacle, and probably cost less than a well-produced TV commercial.

Thanks Nathan, I hunted down the pic above and love it.
It’s not often that you find a “BIG” concept like this, carried out so well. So often, they look tacky and amateurish, this is a rare exception.

P.S. You should visit Nathan’s site and download some of the FREE ebook resources he has there, they contain REAL information.
