Yass is a small country town north of Sydney in Australia, not a lot happens there, it’s just one of those towns you pass through when you are going somewhere else.
However recently they have become rather famous for a recent landmark.
That seems fair, after all Paris has the Eiffel Tower, Rome the Colosseum, London the Queen and all those pretty old buildings, New York has, well everything really, so why not Yas, why can’t it have a landmark, well now it has, Yass has “The Mcdonald’s Sign”.
I wonder if they will make it part of their Global Advertising campaign?.

It’s not so funny to Aussies, only really funny to Americans. We don’t use the word “ass” - our local equivalent is “arse” (same as the Brits)
Sorry guys, I think you’ll find that Yass is a small town south of Sydney, not north.
Still mildly amusing, though it’s the word arse using a foreign dialect on the sign in question.
