McDonalds Attempts to Convince Us It’s Fresh and Healthy!!!!

I’m really starting to feel sorry for these guys, after all one of the great NO, NO’s in brand positioning is: once established, don’t change it or you will confuse the Pygmies.

So after spending eleventy three squidillion dollars making your brand more recognizable than any religious symbol, and almost as profitable. (however, you do have pay taxes) It’s must be very hard to convince us little people, that a company that has allowed accountants to design hamburgers, has seen the light, and now wants to be known for its FRESH HEALTHY products.

Anyway, It’s toooooo easy to knock, mock and make fun of “tall poppies” (he wonders if that phrase will be understood in other countries)
So credit where credit is due… this is a very clever piece of Advertising, It is a perfect example of how to make the gimmick support the message you are delivering.

So often, the attention grabbing gimmick does not relate to the message. This results in viewers being entertained by the cleverness, but not remembering the product.
