I am assured that no real butterfly’s were harmed. They are all made of paper, so insect rights supporters can rest easy.
Just imagine walking down the street and coming across this oddity, wouldn’t it grab your attention? wouldn’t you want to find out what it was all about? Mightn’t you take a photo of it to show your friends that you did actually see a car covered in butterfly’s and you are not completely crazy.
The critical point to turning stunts like this into successful sales promotions is: That the stunt must fit the message.
That is to say, the stunt may grab attention, but you must follow up with a message that shifts the initial attention to an action that is sales focused.
