Now this is a unique idea to grab peoples attention. Just imagine, you have a really great meal, then when it comes time to pay they tell you how much you pay is entirely your choice, and if you can’t afford that’s O.K…

Now that really does fly in the face of all the business practices we have ever learnt… and that’s exactly how they manage to generate 100’s of thousands of dollars worth of FREE publicity that packs the place up morning to night. Oh yeah, they are crazy all right!

Can you just imagine the initial reactions they must have received when they met with the “grey suits” at the banks and accountants.

It’s called Annalakshmi , and is located in Perth Australia.
Their menu states: Eat as you like, pay as you feel.
The concept behind this unique organisation is to allow the volunteers to serve with love through the culinary and visual arts. The food served in Annalakshmi is not prepared by hired chefs with secret French recipes hidden up their sleeves. Instead it is prepared with the care and love of homemakers - mothers, grandparents, sisters and brothers.

I expect that this could work well in a “normal” restaurant too, as most people know what a meal should cost them and would probably overpay (assuming the food is good).
