How many times have tasted a great wine and fully intended to order it again some time in the future, but forgotten it’s name?
Well these very clever marketers have done something about it, and the result is brilliant.
This is exactly the sort of concept that is essential to drive “word of mouth” Advertising.
That is to say, every business owner should constantly be looking for ways to make it easy for a customer to re-order and recommend their product or service to their friends and family members. It is THE most effective and low cost method to increase sales.

This great packaging idea (apparently from Germany) will suit any cafe that services the office market.
It makes it very easy for someone to carry several cups of God’s own nectar for their friends and co workers and is a great way to add value to multiple sales at very low cost.

I want you to imagine you are standing at your local bus stop…
Maybe you are reading the paper and listening to your favorite Strauss waltz on your pod thingy, you are mentally preparing yourself for yet another day at the grind stone, you are craving yet another early morning coffee… Then you see it, a big bright red fire engine is stopping to pick you up and beam you to servitude, a big red bus that is pretending to be a fire engine, a big red bus telling you about super hot Tabassco sauce.
Do you think you might remember that?, maybe, you might even tell your workmates, family and friends about it. You might even notice that everyone the bus passes or is passed by, pays a whole lot of attention to its unique appearance.
They did in Belgium, what a great Advertising idea!

Because very often it has been proven to be untrue.
On many, many occasions, well worded emotive copy has created far more sales than clever photography.
However, here is a great pic that is worth more than its fair share of the allocated 1000.
In a glimpse you get it, and it puts a memorable smile on your face.

What a fabulous piece of positioning…
However, I’m not sure how or if, they were able to repeat this cleverness, but I guess most cities have no shortage of large chimneys spewing their toxic shit into the atmosphere.

To promote a new education center here in Brisbane Australia, the masterminds of Mojo Advertising came up with this clever use of the non skid surfaces around the city. So very simple and memorable, not one kid (and kid at heart) in town would miss this.

Just imagine the reaction…
When your customer opens their mail to find a a bright colorful ball with an appropriate (or if you are a little daring, a lightheartedly inappropriate) pun printed on it thanking them for their custom and inviting them back soon.
At least it’s going to be remembered long after an expensive color brochure packed full of brag and boast highly polished promo speak.
Leslie Allison-Seei, Partner of Robust Promotions fame sent me this idea that she has been working on with a new business appropriately named Send A Ball where you can find all the details on this clever alternative to boring brochures and flowers.
