Naomi from Itty Biz just MOOOved this over to me…

Thank goodness people think like this, Let’s face it, rubbish bins are not THE hottest topic of conversation (if you don’t believe me, make it you sole topic of conversation at your next office party)

So when some bright spark decides it would be a really great idea to decorate them to look like, well a cows, of course, what else?

They get my undivided attention and respect.

Patricio Forrester’s Feed the Cow recycling bins, which saw their start in Buenos Aires and are now seen in the U.K., too…
The bins are printed in a noticeable, standout print for an urban area: the pattern of holstein cow spots. The three months following the introduction of the bins in Buenos Aires saw a 62% increase in aluminum can recycling.

Look, anybody that can come up with an idea that is creative enough to put a smile on the face of modern suburban dwellers, is a hero in my books.

This is the sort of civil disobedience we should all be committed to, or for.

C’mon clever T Shirts are soooooo passe, they are sooooo yesterday…

Our modern minds need, indeed demand, a new way to express our cynicism, we need to develop a new, acceptable, more intellectual form of toilet humor, if you will.

But enough of my mental masturbation, THIS IS A GREAT IDEA just waiting to be developed further.

JUST THINK…

Instead of hiding your industrial rubbish bin in that unsightly “tuck away” corner, bring it out, paint it, turn it into a road side Advertising piece for your business. Hire a couple of the local louts that have been decorating your fences with Graffiti and Tags and give them the creative task. It’s a great way to get around the local sign bylaws and even the strictest landlord restrictions won’t have thought to include this in their fine print.

Or, if you are really ambitious, you could sign up all the local businesses in your area and go sell the space on their bins to a major sponsor. This way you will be a major contributor to the visual clutter of your region and will probably be thrown out of every respectable business club in town.

Thanks for the “rubbish” tip Naomi, You know I love your stuff, and your blog.

You SO did not just type that. I thought the brothel thing was bad, but this? You’re delightfully sinking to a new low, Lindsay.

    I LOVE IT!
