Doughnut makers Krispy Kreme have come up with with an ideal solution to those ’stuck-in-the-office-blues’ by offering stressed out city workers the chance to have the feeling of a summer lawn beneath your bare feet all day long. Not to mention the fact that a few pairs of these being worn around busy city streets will guarantee they get noticed.
MacDonald s in Chicago wanted their customers to know they serve fresh eggs.
So, the creative gurus at Leo Burnetts came up with this animated sign. Apparently it opens at six and closes again at 10:30 (the hours they serve breakfast)
It’s a bit kitch for my liking, but I’m sure it got its fair share of attention as it certainly captures eyeballs.
As you may already have guessed I really like the idea of turning trees and lamp posts into clever marketing devices.
So here is another idea that I think is brilliant and worth adapting to your message. This low cost stuff really grabs attention and gets people talking.

His blow up rely on the air that is driven up through gratings in New York by passing subway trains.
The thing is, these fun artworks grab everyone’s attention, so why not use the same concept, with the help of a couple of small fans, to draw some attention to your business.
These people seem to have taken Banksy’s idea(previous post) of painting a message on a bull and applied it to their hotel chain.
Located on a busy highway this would be extremely effective and the addition of the blankets makes it a whole lot more pallatable to those who get a little upset about painting directly on to Noah’s crew members.
Of course it is… what else would you expect at the entrance of a Las Vegas showgirl revue… the Madonna and child?
And of course, thousands of depraved men and women have their photo taken in front of it each day to show their friends and families all around the world exactly how disgusting (ly successful) it is.
The shiny bottoms (yes I did take the time to carefully inspect every detail) are a testament to the irresistible urge many have, to extend their lascivious lust to a tactile encounter.
It is an idea that is sure to grab attention and work for the fitness center that created it…
But it won’t do a whole lot for your average dollar sales if your clients are exposed to it. However, it is a great example of how you could use high traffic pavements to get your (more sales oriented) message out there at low cost.
