Just imagine the reaction…
When your customer opens their mail to find a a bright colorful ball with an appropriate (or if you are a little daring, a lightheartedly inappropriate) pun printed on it thanking them for their custom and inviting them back soon.
At least it’s going to be remembered long after an expensive color brochure packed full of brag and boast highly polished promo speak.
Leslie Allison-Seei, Partner of Robust Promotions fame sent me this idea that she has been working on with a new business appropriately named Send A Ball where you can find all the details on this clever alternative to boring brochures and flowers.

If your clients received this invitation in the post do you think you would get their undivided attention?
I’m sure you would not only get their attention but you would generate a whole lot of bookings if your copy was well written.
It’s one of those clever ideas that just keeps getting better as you open it up.
And, it doesn’t have to be done with chopsticks, it could be done with western cutlery, or plastic food items like a plastic fish, or you could use seasonal novelties…
This gem was produced by the Advertising agency DDB in Malaysia as a self promotional piece to celebrate Chinese New Year, and invite their clients to a celebratory dinner.

I’ve never been a morning person, but I think, half a dozen eggs grinning back at me, first thing in the morning would really make me want to go back to bed.
However, the unexpected humor of it would make me both remember it and tell others.
This great Advertising concept was designed by J.W.T. in Brussels. and for those of us who have temporarily lost our fluency in Brusselian
the message says something like “every man deserves a smooth skin” mmm, well, I still think it’s a clever idea!
