Protect Your Feet, Create An Advertising Campaign with Lego Blocks…

If you're new here, you may want to subscribe to my RSS feed so you don't miss any of the NEW IDEAS posted twice per day. Thanks for visiting!

Those with children will know only too well just how dangerous these little chunks of plastic are…

You know the pain of discovering these sharp little beasts during a late night, barefooted, tip toe through the darkness.

Well now I can help you solve the problem, show this photo to your kids, and bribe or threaten them into producing a similar set of characters for your next promotion. they certainly will grab some attention and get rid of those colorful little minefields off your floors.

This Cafe Promotional Idea Will Not Change The World, But…

It is a bit of fun that will be noticed.

After all, it’s not that easy to differentiate coffee, when everyone else is claiming they have the best beans and Baristas.

Are You Looking for a New Theme For Your Restaurant?

Are you a little tired of your boring polished brass and varnished wood decor?

Would your restaurant benefit from a decor that got your customers talking? Talking so much, that the news media started paying attention and giving you some FREE publicity?

well, Ken Burgin (who always sends me links that are interesting and entertaining) from http://www.ProfitableHospitality.com has just sent me these gems. Thanks Ken, I think! :)
buns-and-guns.jpg

Buns & Guns is located in Beirut, Lebanon, Their chosen theme is military - from the décor and names of the menu items to the helicopter sounds that play constantly in the background.

You can order an M16 Carbine meat sandwich, a Mortar burger or a Terrorist meal (which ironically just happens to be vegetarian).

The restaurant’s slogan, “Sandwiches Can Kill You”.

cannibal-restaurant.jpg

In Tokyo Japan you can become a cannibal…

‘Nyotaimori’ is a Japanese dinning tradition that literally means ‘female body plate’, and this restaurant named after the rather salacious tradition of eating sushi and sashimi off a nude woman’s body (doesn’t everybody eat like that?) takes this concept to a whole new level.

An edible body, with dough ‘skin’ and ‘blood’ sauce  is wheeled into the room on a hospital trolley and placed on your table.

The hostess begins the meal by cutting into the body with a scalpel and then you dig in, cutting open the body to reveal edible ‘organs’. Oh Yummy!!!

Have You Ever Thought of Using an Elevator To Dunk Your Oreos?

 Well these people did…

And just look at the result. It’s guaranteed to put a smile on the face of everyone who sees it, and most importantly, be remembered.

The Question now is…

What could you do with your product to bring it alive in this manner?

Turn The Humble Napkin Into a Smile Creating Advertising Stunt

I really like the idea of turning ordinary, common place items into promotional devices

And this is a great example of exactly that. Most napkins are thought of as a purely functional commodity, grabbed and discarded without a second thought. but this great idea turns it into an attention grabbing smile creator, so all you have to do is add your branding and you have an instant low cost marketing tool.

I can’t find any other details on this product, so, if you can, please let me know.

With the U.S. Presidential campaign season in full swing, Denny’s, America’s iconic dining chain, is asking consumers from coast to coast to submit their best impersonations of the 2008 Presidential candidates for the chance to win one free meal a month for a full Presidential term.

This is a great example of how to use YouTube, Bloggers and your customers to generate bucket-loads of FREE PUBLICITY.

Here’s a couple of examples of early entries.

A Street Art Idea That Would Make Great Advertising

Street artist Joshua Allen Harris is creating some real great attention grabbing devices with common garbage bags

His blow up rely on the air that is driven up through gratings in New York by passing subway trains.

The thing is, these fun artworks grab everyone’s attention, so why not use the same concept, with the help of a couple of small fans, to draw some attention to your business.
